Catalogue # 4016

400 Feet

Black & White

Sound (Mono)

Run time: approximately 17 minutes

Synopsis (very brief):

Who doesn't know these comedians of old? Featuring the comedy duo with a sum total intelligence of a block of wood. Moronic comedy. Working inside the new rocket destined for Mars, yep ... they pushed a few buttons off they go to Mars on an unauthorised trip!

Stupid but fun comedy from 70 years ago (1953 originally released)

COSMETIC CONDITION:

USED

CLEAN

Very good

Film stock and the Blue reel (PLiO MAGIC made in USA) are undamaged, there is a White leader film.

Outer all White hinged plastic case is in good condition, clean, no hinge damage or graphic damage and no personal writing.

NO writing on the reel and just the front cover colour graphics, identifying the contents.

TESTING:

Test projector is the ELMO 1200 that I have on hand at the moment.

Film looks to be clean and in good condition, sprocket holes are not damaged.

I only ran the film for the first couple of minutes or so to observe the picture and sound.

The picture is really good, even though it is ridiculously silly, I loved watching this movie! The portrayal of the space technology was interesting (to me) at least.

Sound is good and clean, easy to understand the banter between the duo

In my opinion, after this very brief test, I am happy that the film is as stated on the box and that the film stock appears to be in pretty good shape.

Anyway, I am very fastidious and careful with these films (I am afterall doing this on behalf of another person) and I have now packed it back into the original White plastic box AND sealed the film within clear plastic - waiting for a Super 8 film enthusiast to "enjoy"!
