Title: CONFESSIONS OF A DRIVING INSTRUCTOR (1976)

Catalogue # Unknown (not indicated on the box)

400 Feet

Colour

Sound (Mono)

Run time: approximately 17 minutes

'Saucy' and probably not suited to children! Not explicit but implied sex scenes, and that is really the whole focus of the movie. Comedic visual effects throughout the movie such as the driving instructors car reacting to what was going on inside. Funny, silly and quite dated. The young lady is not at all interested in learning to drive, so hot! Quite reminiscent of those "Carry On ..." movies in England many years ago. Plenty of titallation but the plot ... well, probably on the floor along with her panties!

COSMETIC CONDITION:

USED

CLEAN

Very good

Film stock and the Red reel (PLiO MAGIC made in USA with Columbia Pictures pad printed onto the reel in Yellow) are undamaged, there is a White leader film.

Outer all cardboard two part case is in good condition, clean, no substantial structural damage or graphic damage and no personal writing.

NOTE: I suspect the underside of this box is not correct (mixed up along the line) as it is promoting the movie SUPERMAN from Warner Communications.

NO personal writing on the reel and just the front cover colour graphics and an FBI warning on the side so I would assume this was a USA release of the British comedy.

TESTING:

Test projector is the ELMO 1200 that I have on hand at the moment.

Film looks to be clean and in good condition, sprocket holes are not damaged.

I only ran the film for the first couple of minutes or so to observe the picture and sound.

The picture has some shifting towards the Red end of town, the Blue dye has definitely become degraded although there is still some Blue/Green colours visible.

Sound is not so great! Although it is clean and clear, it is quite muffled, the high ends have been sucked out of the audio which makes following the dialogue a tad difficult but then again, this really is a visual comedy movie in any case.

In my opinion, after this very brief test, I am happy that the film is as stated on the box and that the film stock appears to be in reasonable condition.

Anyway, I am very fastidious and careful with these films (I am afterall doing this on behalf of another person) and I have now packed it back into the original cardboard two piece box AND sealed the film within clear plastic - waiting for a Super 8 film enthusiast to "enjoy"!
