BACKGROUND:
We have decided to seek new homes for a portion of our souvenir teaspoons and the wall space they were taking up (artworks won out!).

I have shown it "fully loaded" so you can see they all hang nicely but those teaspoons (and many others from the other cabinet we will be finding a new home for) will NOT be included ...
DISPLAY CABINET - For Teaspoons or Miniature Forks
Case Materials : Timber and Brass (NO PLASTICS)
Circa 1970's ~ 1980's (this is about the time we bought this cabinet so we had somewhere to put our little trinkets.
The outer frame and hinged door are SOLID REAL timber, not composite nor Pine (judging by the grain) The rear support is plywood.
Satin finish to the timber which we don't think is stained.
One sheet glass front door, hinged on one side and a small Brass catch to make sure the door stays closed!
Three support rails, all are also made of timber. The background inside is a deep Royal Red colour material, like a felt.
Two original hanging triangles at the top (each side) but it suited us better to just fit a simple nylon rail - that has been left intact.

So, how much wall space will this take up?
550mm height x 295mm width x 25mm deep (how far it protrudes from the wall)
WEIGHT:
Watch out for this one! Although the "empty weight" is not great at 1.2Kg, you need to allow for the weight of all the teaspoons or forks you place on the rails.
We used (as a rough guide) 50g per piece, meaning that when it is fully loaded with the little gems, this adds around another 1.5Kg
Make sure your wall hanging arrangement can handle such weight or you will end up with teaspoons all over the floor, broken glass and tears ...
COSMETIC CONDITION:
USED
CLEAN
NO physical damage to case at all. This means none of the decorative pieces of timber are broken and the rails inside are all "sound"
There is some LIGHT scratching to the front facing timberwork, particular up near the top but (in our opinion) nothing too dramatic.
Glass front door is clean, clear and unscratched.
Both hinges are in very good shape, as is the catch on the opposite side of the door.
Although "delicate" (due mainly to the glass front door), we are very experienced sending delicate items to people and pack very conservatively
