My wife has tons of fine, beautiful china and porcelain pieces, not just teasets but figurines and these very lovely flower posies. Many pottery works have produced these over the years but the decoration and quality can vary greatly. Royal Doulton produced some very beautiful posies over the years ...

This photograph is an example of how you can get totally absorbed in the world of fine china flower posies - beware!
ROYAL DOULTON - Flower Posy
Bright White bone china
Mixture of flowers are depicted, the dominant being roses (Central Red rose bud with Yellow and Pink to the side)
This is VERY FINE china craftspersonship, probably a female. Not only the forming of the china but the decoration is done by hand (artist's mark to the underside)
Circa 1950's ~ 60's based on the hand crafted decoration principally, the Doulton backstamp does not provide many clues as to the exact year of manufacture, date.
Hand decorated, I have examined the artwork very closely and there are absolutely NO tell-tale "dots" from transferware and the fine art decorative detail is obvious.
The base has four very small feet
This posy is small, we always kept in one of the china display cabinets but it would also look very nice at the bedside however keep in mind these can be a devil to keep dust free!
Measures: 75mm diameter x 60mm height
Weight: 260g
BACKSTAMP DETAILS:
This is a closeup photograph from underneath the posy, NOT a cut//paste from somewhere else online (I have seen others do this!)
This "new" Royal Doulton backstamp was used during the period 1930 ~1990's but we strongly believe this piece dates from the 1950's period.
Note that there is an artists mark, right next to the Lion (left hand side) but it is quite difficult to see as it is in Lemon Yellow
COSMETIC CONDITION:
This is the critical part, particularly the petals of the flowers (extremely delicate)
CLEAN
NO damage to any of the very fine china structure, the petals are the most prominent and I have looked extremely closely - there is no damage at all
NO cracks
NO chips
NO handling wear observed to any of the decorative work, all colouring remains bright and vibrant
NO crazing is evident
For those who worry about shipping such an item, we take EXTREME care when our treasures "leave home", this piece will be treated like the Dresden lace pieces - with extremely careful packaging.
