Progressive rock is normally how this album is described but in reality that is bit of a narrow description, there are also elements of jazz, gamelan, classical music, heavy metal and experimental - if you need some music that will stimulate the brain, King Crimson will do it!

Gatefold cover is in good condition, no seam splits, clean and edges have only light handling wear, no personal writing. I do see some slight "grubby marks" on the front cover, lower left hand side and these could not be removed by cleaning.

Vinyl is in very good condition, visually inspected under a bright White halogen light source and I can see NO marks or scratches on either side - very nice. Just looking at the vinyl is not a great way to judge the condition so I then played the ENTIRE release, every single track on both sides, and there were no issues with surface noise or clicks/pops - the lack of surface noise is, in this case, extremely important because the album has a very wide dynamic range. One minute it is very low level instrumentation and then suddenly the room is full of music - surface noise becomes a critical factor when playing the very quiet passages.
