WARNING (ISSUE ALERT!)
Like so many of these older compilation releases, often they were not carefully handled and this record is one of those.
While the vinyl is very nice condition across most tracks, Side 1 Track 1 "Maggie May" has a scratch created by careless tonearm handling. The result is a few repeated low level clicks at the beginning of this very first track on Side 1, all of the other tracks are fine.
Solution? Either put up with the low level clicks at the beginning of this track or skip Rod Stewart altogether and enjoy the rest of this compilation album.
More 70's classics (many are Australian artists) from days gone by ... many of these you don't hear anymore, for example The Mixtures are very well known for The Pushbike Song but on this album they perform another lesser known song, Captain Zero and Oh My! look at how young Olivia looks on the front cover, just makes you feel really old!

Cover is in very good condition, no tears, no personal writing on the cover at all and only very light edgewear from normal handling.
New inner plastic sleeve
Vinyl is in very good condition, visually inspected under a bright white halogen light source and I can see NO scratches or marks on either side of any significance, EXCEPT Side 1, Track 1 (Rod Stewart - Maggie May) which has a short 6mm length scratch. Just looking at the vinyl isn't a good way to judge the condition so I then played the ENTIRE album, every single track, and there are no significant issues with surface noise or click/pop events on either side EXCEPT for the track mentioned abovewhich results in repeated low level clicks for the first 50 seconds and then these rapidly reduce in level until at 1 minute no more clicks are heard ... If you were around in the mid '70's and had your ears glued to the 'trannie', many of these songs will create flashbacks to much younger days ...
