These 23HD Stepper motors (also known as NEMA 23 Series) are USED and fully operational prior to removal from their previous purpose (Stage Lighting Moving Head)
Ideal for low cost experimentation (Arduino etc) or possibly parts replacement.
Removed from the original stage moving head equipment because it was based on obsolete technology (metal halide lamps) which "cooked" the top cover (fan failure) and made the equipment unserviceable but perfectly useable stepper motors and various gearing/lens and colour wheels were salvaged - separate advertisements for those components will follow.
RB Stepper Motor
RB is a chinese stepper motor manufacturer (and other associated devices) with an ISO9001 rating for QC
Model: 23HD3002-21M
Installed in this equipment around 2005 (although the equipment did not see heavy use)
Identification of the motor model (and lot number) is stamped into the diecast body
Unlike the 17HD steppers I have advertised separately, I have just one lead available so the first to buy one of these 23HD's will get the lead but the other 23HD will not have a lead. It's not hard to find another connector, being a Molex 11 pin female type.
Basic physical specifications are shown in one of the photographs.
High Torque: up to 2.8mN.m
2 Phase
Step angle 1.8 degrees
Measured phase coil DC resistance @ 11.5 Ohms each
CONDITION:
Clean, bearings "feel" fine
TESTING:
Known to be fully operational prior to removal, DC tested after removal to confirm the phase coil resistance.
Great for robotic motion or mechanical movement experimentation where you need an accurate stepper motor with high torque
