HISTORY:
China Oh China, we loved and caressed you in our hands but now it is time to find a new loving, caring home! My wife is making way for much OLDER chinaware that she is now focused on - hand painted and pre-1900's English - Irish
These pieces (a trio which is offered either piece by piece or all together if all pieces are still available) are what we consider as "modern" chinaware.
Regency began around the mid 1950's and eventually closed down in the early 2000's, operating out of the Carlton Works in Longton.
DLAT RATING: 9/10 (Darling Look At This!)
Dainty, delicate, soft colours and these looked very much "at home" whenever we presented an afternoon tea for the "well to do" in society, often referred to as "High Tea" although that term is not entirely correct for such an occasion.
Price indicated is for EACH PIECE, however if all three pieces are selected then an automatic discount does apply in the checkout

DIMENSIONS:
TEACUP: 85mm mouth x 73mm height
SAUCER: 138mm diameter
SIDE PLATE: 157mm diameter
CONDITION:
This first section of the condition report is universal to all three pieces, any difference or flaws are noted below this section
NO cracks
NO chips
NO crazing
NO discolouration observed to the brilliant White base porcelain on the saucer & side plate
NO tannin stains to the inside of the teacup
NO damage or wear is apparent to the Pink roses decorations
NO obvious wear is showing to any of the Gold gilding on all pieces
TEACUP:
On the side of the teacup, near the single rose (to the right) is a "mark" which is Grey in colour and quite faint. Looking closely it appears that something has rubbed against the porcelain, this is not a crack. Clean as I might, it will not shift at all. It is not terribly obvious and looks a bit like a shadow!
No comments to be made about the saucer & side plate.
