Queen Anne was a trade name used by Shore & Coggins and in later years, Ridgway Potteries (both in the same group of companies)

The inclusion of the text "A product of Ridgway Potteries Ltd" identifies this side plate from around the 1970's period

RIDGWAY POTTERIES (England) - Side Plate ONLY

Trade name: Queen Anne

Fine Bone (translucent) China, meaning that if held to a strong light source you can see the shadow of your fingers through the china.

Side plate ONLY

Pattern: 8354 (we do not know if this pattern had a 'real life' name, we couldn't imagine the 'lady of the house' saying "could you pass me that 8354, dear?" while entertaining friends.

The base china is a bright White.

The design comprises a number of floral groupings consisting of small White flowers, something like a primrose, with foliage. Around the upper section of the plate, near the edge, is Silver coloured scroll work and a distinctive but pale Green 8mm wide band around the side plate.

All artwork appears to be transferware

Gold gilding has been applied to the rim only, this appears to have been hand applied due to the 'uneven' application around the edges (not wear!) although there is no Gold gilder's mark on the underside of the side plate.
