HISTORY:
Ex broadcast station library copy, a new unused heavy cardboard vanilla archive sleeve is supplied.
These archival grade sleeves or covers are made using a heavy card with an internal plastic liner permanently afixed inside. The cover has two coloured reinforcing strips on the outside (a colour coding system was used to sort out the music genre's) and no writing on the vanilla cardboard sleeve at all, now!
Many more of these ex broadcast singles to come, some special (rare) releases and others "par for the course"
There is no "pretty" record cover, just very '60s psych music!

SPECIAL NOTES: This is a styrene based release, it is also in "very well used" condition! I am offering this copy for those who like to collect such singles, particularly from the 1960's psychedelic era. The label is VERY worn in appearance, so is the vinyl (see below about the vinyl condition). I cannot track down the exact factory that pressed this one, things to note are DAMO PRODUCTIONS is printed on both sides. The band name is completely within the Orange area on both sides, not with THE on the borderline. The matrix is etched and very difficult to read, there could be a suffix or two but I couldn't see them! As this was originally a broadcast station copy, a Red "dot" has been applied to the Side A (i.e "play this side") at least Side B has no "play prevention" stickers which some stations applied to the "not to be played" side so that the presenter cannot accidentally put it to air.
Archival heavy cardboard vanilla cover (sleeve) is in very good condition, undamaged and unmarked - this provides very good protection to the record.
Styrene is in poor condition, meaning that the expression "OMG!" applies here! The styrene is dull, this is likely due to an incorrect cleaning being used in the past. But much more significant is the scratches AND THERE ARE A LOT OF THEM! Both Sides ...
But wait there's more (no steak knives though) ...
While handling the single I noticed a faint, hairline crack! It's about 10mm length from the run-in but is "tight" - it looks to me that the record took a sideways knock as I can see a tiny little chip out of the straight edge where the crack begins.
I really wanted to give this one a spin up, this band is pretty special and the music is of great interest to me so away we go (sweat pouring from the brow)
Amazing! is all I can say - I don't know if its the styrene but the play was surprising good. Sure there is an elevated background surface noise but no nasty, heavy click click click's - even while the stylus is running over that crack.
This would be a good candidate to lift off the audio, clean it up with some good software based noise reduction and you will have your own special copy of this song(s) from The Electric Prunes. Now that's special.
