Today we opened up a box of our son's "old" comics, this is one of them but I am advertising more as time permits - they cover Adult, Horror and just plain weird!
Our son was the avid comic "nut", we are not collectors/dealers/strange dudes - just have quite a few comics which need to find new owner
The description is as detailed as possible (I like detail) so if anyone is interested then at least you know what is on offer and it's condition.
I am not a collector, I call the condition as I see it - please read and look at the photographs
This copy is autographed by the creator/writer & the artist
Bodyguard - From The Pages Of Australian Penthouse ADULTS ONLY
By David de Vries & Glen Lumsden
Aircel Comics USA
September 1990
Issue #2 of 3
No barcode No ISBN
Measures: 262mm high x 167mm wide
34 pages
Full colour front/rear pages but the rest is mono print
Includes text sections, The Letter & G'day Sepos
These sections discuss male jokes, sex, feminism and attitudes that would get a guy into hot water these days! A great "time-capsule" of past cultural "norms"
Condition of this comic is good. This means no tears, no writing other than the autographs noted below and these can be viewed in one of the photographs.
Staples are sound, firm and no damage to the paper stock
Spine is sound and no pages are missing
All pages are clean although I noticed a couple of light "spots" on the inside front (see photograph)
Non glossy internal pages have yellowed slightly, due to the passage of time I guess
Please view the photograph showing these autographs
On the inside (page 3) it is signed by
David de Vries - Creator & Writer
Glenn Lumsden - Artist
These are not printed signatures because the pen has made an impression into the paper.
Since taking this comic out of the box, we have placed it on a stiff cardboard backing and sealed it within a clear plastic bag, stored in the dark, to maintain its condition.
