Many of us grew up with these comics, created by Belgian cartoonist Hergé way back in 1929 and now a worldwide, multiple language comic phenomenon.
Reprinted many times over the years, the animation remains true to the originals but of course the text has been translated to English in this version (originally French)
This story appears to have been first published in 1956
“how scientific inventions can serve humanity without being coveted by military powers”, in the tense climate of the Cold War.
THE ADVENTURES OF TINTIN - The Calculus Affair
Mammoth
Written by Hergé (Georges Remi)
1997 UK edition
Medium size format (295mm x 215mm) with light card front and back, glossy.
62 pages
Promotional material on the rear, advertising other stories in the Adventures Of TinTin series
NOTE: In the rear photograph I have erased the ISBN code and barcode as I have mulitple comics and the rear is very similar, advertising the other books available - I just took one photograph and have used it as a rear illustration for each comic book I have.
CONDITION:
NO writing on any page
NO bent or misformed pages
All comic pages are clean and white
HOWEVER, I notice some "spotting" on the inside front and inside rear of the cover, looks to be foxing. These are the ONLY pages with this problem, the comic pages themselves are totally clean and without spots.
To preserve the condition of this classic TinTin comic book, it has now been sealed in plastic.
