Sustainability is the name of the game! Anything (that has been tested and still functioning properly) should be repurposed creating saving in wasted Ee and reducing the poisoning our environment when items are buried in the earth at the local tip needlessly.
Never heard of Ee? It is a concept that creates a measurement of ALL things (not just electronics) that humans have made and the energy used in obtaining the raw material, processing the materials right through to a finished product and even should include the shipping of the item to the distributors/retailers.
If you would like to know more about Ee values, please take a look HERE
DALE are synonymous with high quality & reliability in the world of power resistors. Like so many other great component manufacturers, they have been "swallowed up" by Vishay! They still supply this range from DALE but it is now called the CW02B series

Temperature co-efficient ± 90 ppm/°C
3 Watts maximum power handling
CW-2B series is rated for short time overloads of 5x the average maximum power
Heat resistant
Moisture resistant
Corrosion resistant
DIMENSIONS:
4.1mm diameter x 13.95mm length
COSMETIC CONDITION:
USED
NO body damage
NO signs of component "stress"
Wire leads (0.9mm diameter) are SHORT at just 5.5mm length each side because these were mounted and connected point-to-point on a high power massively large multiple Power FET output stage module.
TESTING:
Being used, I decided to check the resistance although my test equipment is not great at sub-one Ohm measurements so really I was checking for no open circuits or "strange readings"
I measured 10 of these and they all indicated as AROUND 0.82 Ohm - my current test gear just isn't up to measuring such low resistances accurately.
I have now placed these resistors into a sealed packet to preserve the current condition.
