BROTHER BEYOND - The Harder I Try
Parlophone Records
Cat# A 2134
1988
Australian release
Cover is in good condition, no personal writing, no seam splits or tears. A light vinyl ring is beginning to show front and rear though.
New inner plastic sleeve
Vinyl is in good condition, inspected visually I can see NO scratches on either side HOWEVER the surface does have plasticiser leeching from a previous inner sleeve. This means the vinyl surface appears textured (caused by plastics leeching from the previous inner sleeve into the vinyl surface) but this is "appearance only", and in most cases the audio is unaffected. I then played both sides ENTIRELY and there are no issues with surface noise or click/pops on Side A, a very good playback. However Side B intro area I can hear a low level low frequency "thump" not a click - after around 5~8 seconds this background noise is buried entirely by the song. I tried to examine the vinyl surface carefully but due to the "texturing" from leeching, I was unable to discover the cause of this low level thump. In summary, Side B remains a very good play but with that disconcerting sound at the beginning of the track.
New outer protective sleeve
