MEN AT WORK - Down Under
CBS Records
Cat# BA 222891
1981
Australian release
I currently have three copies, the differences being in the thin paper cover - all three vinyl are in very similar condition (very good)
Here is a description of each cover, they are designated A, B & C and you can choose which cover you wish to have by using the drop down menu option
COVER A:
Picture cover (monochrome) is in very good condition and even though the light White paper can show every little mark from handling and "age", there are in fact very few marks on the front or rear. There is a left side seam split of medium length and this has not been repaired. These splits are always a problem with this type of cover, the paper is so thin and the record edge just cuts into the seams when the record is moved around - poor packaging choice!
COVER B:
Picture cover (monochrome) is in good condition although the light White paper does show every little mark from handling and "age". No seam splits, no personal writing and no tears although the bottom seam has been reinforced with tape as it was showing signs of weakness.
COVER C:
Picture cover (monochrome) is in good (minus) condition with the light White paper showing every little mark from handling and "age". There is an obvious "grubbiness" around the centre on both the front and rear, also a short bottom seam split which remains unrepaired. On the rear are the remanents of some identification marks made by the broadcast station staff - these markings (Black permanent ink) would be very difficult to remove cleanly. Not the prettiest of covers!
New inner plastic liner sleeve
All three copies of the vinyl are in very good condition, visually inspected under a bright White halogen light source and I can see no marks or scratches on either side. Just looking at your vinyl is not a great way to judge the condition so I then played the ENTIRE single (ALL three copies), both sides, and there are no issues at all with playback of this very nostalgic Australian song on any of the available copies
