HISTORY:
Ex broadcast station library copy, all station labelling removed OR a new unused vanilla archive sleeve is supplied and then stored away until today. Some of the vanilla sleeves had to be exchanged for new blank types, if you have ever seen a record sleeve from a broadcast station they get writing all over them ... mainly play dates and times as this was how the station kept track of their royalty payment obligations.
These archival grade sleeves or covers are made using a heavy card with an internal plastic liner permanently afixed inside. The cover has two coloured reinforcing strips on the outside (a colour coding system was used to sort out the music genre's) and no writing on the vanilla cardboard sleeve at all, now!
Many more of these ex broadcast singles to come, some special (rare) releases and others "par for the course"
There is no "pretty" record cover, just classic music!
GEORGE HARRISON - What Is Life
Apple Records
Cat# APPLE 9424
1971
Australian release
Archival cover or sleeve is in very good condition, undamaged and unmarked. Please note that the record label has some "program presenter" hand written notes added (4.20 sec slow fade- right out at 4.22 sec) These were the days when the presenter was also the panel operator, a jack of all trades cueing and managing the levels.
New inner plastic sleeve
Vinyl is in very good condition, visually inspected under a bright White halogen light source, I can see NO scratches on Side A and just one light scratch on Side B. Looking at the vinyl is not a great way to judge the condition and the only real way to judge the condition is to play the entire record. I have played both sides ENTIRELY and there are NO issues with playback at all, surface noise is low, not even with that light scratch on Side B. Nice to hear George again.
