Working from Waitara (NSW), Braemore pottery was yet another potter producing interesting and unique Australian designs.
This particular piece is high lustre, predominately lemon yellow's which blend into greens giving a colourful "mother of pearl" appearance.
NO cracks
NO discolouration
One small chip/fleabite to the edge of the fan (very small and it does not show easily)
Light crazing to one side but the appearance of this is substantially reduced due to the heavy glaze
Clearly stamped BRAEMORE 40 (probably the design number) and A10 to the side which we guess is the potters mark (for payment of works produced)
This mark and the fact it is stamped indicates it was manufactured between 1940 & 1950, probably closer to 1940 due to the art deco look to the piece.
Medium size, it stands 250mm high
It is 260mm across at the top of the fan shaped body
The width is 100mm
