This saucer is offered as a replacement if someone has one of these teasets but WARNING!

Although this design looks very much like 'Royal Albert Old Country Rose' it is definitely not Royal Albert china!

It's a fake, a copy, a phoney, not the real deal and it is pretty easy to spot the differences. Most likely of Asian origin in the 1980's I would estimate, perhaps Japan or more likely, China.

The decoration design is almost identical to Old Country Roses from Royal Albert... look at these two photographs

The decoration is transferware

The porcelain is opaque, that is you cannot see through the porcelain when held up to a light source

The porcelain is HEAVY, much heavier than Bone China at approximately 200g, compared to 80 ~ 100g for Bone China

The glaze finish has some uneveness, little areas where the glaze is not nice and smooth, like little air-bubbles.

Backstamp is non-sensical, doesn't really tell you anything but at least instead of passing this off as Old Country Roses, the maker has called this ENGLISH ROSE
