Decorated by Overjoy Hand - New Terroritries/Hong Kong
Began operations around the mid 1960's with most of their base product being made in mainland China and the decorating undertaken at the Overjoy Hand factory. Specialised in custom made porcelain, items made to order and even copies of other companies products (bring them a sample and they will copy it).
These were the days when Hong Kong was still a British Territory, an area flourishing with excitment and innovation - not so sure it is like that now though.

Most likely the base product was manufactured in China with the decoration being undertaken by the factory, Overjoy Hand
Base porcelain is bright white
Decoration is all hand produced, using paint, actually more like a drawing with the design outlines in black and then filled with colour.
The design is a blue(ish) coloured hand painting of flowers and foliage and overall the colouring is quite "dark" looking.
There is no way you could describe this decoration as uplifting or exciting! Perhaps a subtle hint to the user(s) of the future that may await them if they continue smoking!
Diameter: 110mm
Base has a red stamp pressed into the non-glazed base.
It reads (circular reading with a graphic of a Chinese junk vessel)

NO chips
NO discolouration
Nice ashtray for those who collect such things - or just use it!
