Artist: Leslie Greenwood
Leslie was a British Botanical artist and he began painting plants during the Second World War and painted in Iraq, Syria, Palestine, Egypt, India, Burma, Malaya, Kashmir, Ceylon and Australia.
He won RHS Gold Medals for his botanical paintings in 1958, 1961, 1963 and 1966.
He also exhibited regularly at the RHS Chelsea Show.
In 1977, The Hunt Institute had an exhibition Flowers of the World: Paintings by Leslie Greenwood
 (18 April - 30 September 1977) which featured 141 watercolour paintings .
He was a fellow of the Royal Society of the Arts and of the Linnean Society.
His work has had exhibitions with the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolour and Royal Society of British Artists.
Leslie Greenwood passed away in 1987

We NO LONGER have the certificate or booklet about the flowers depicted - just the original styrofoam box with outer cardboard sleeve for the plate.
Plate is 273mm diameter (10.75")
All plates have the very strong wall hanging spring/clip attachment
Optional perspex stand is also included
Each plate when boxed and packed correctly weighs 1.25Kg - these are not lightweight!
CONDITION:
The plate is clean, high glaze porcelain
NO discolouration
NO cracks
NO chips
NO crazing
Colours are all vivid and "natural" looking
Gold gilding to the outer edge is UNDAMAGED
Both the wall hanging attachment and the perspex stand are included
