Tuscan was the trading name/mark used by RH & SL Plant, operating out of the Tuscan Works in Longton.
Operations began in 1898 and in 1966 the company was acquired by Wedgwood and although the operations continued, they were now part of the Wedgwood Group.
Outstanding fine china saucer, typical rose design with borders surrounded by a dot pattern.The design is very much in line with the day. Hand painted (each part of the design is slightly different to the other parts and in a couple of places there has been a "random dot" applied!

Semi translucent china/porcelain ware (you can faintly see your fingers through the sides if held to the light)
Base is pure White
Gold gilding applied in three rings, one to the rim, another just below the rim and another closer to the centre.
Green printed (under glaze) backstamp reads:

COSMETIC CONDITION:
Condition is very good to excellent
Clean white base coloured china, except for two tiny dots which seem to be under the glaze and quite likely to have been introduced by the original artist
NO chips
NO fleabites
NO cracks
All Gold gilding is in excellent condition with very little (if any) handling wear showing.
