In 1910, the Shelley's (Joseph & Percy) joined Wileman's and from 1910 onwards all of their products were backstamped as Shelley

Backstamp would indicate this piece dates during the period 1938 ~ 1966 but we "feel" that due to similarity of design to other pieces we have, this is likely to be from the early 1950's

The artist and gilder's marks are clearly visible
Bright White base background colouring
Heavily scalloped rim with Gold gilding
Hand decorated artwork and Gold gilding
The Versailles design features long-tailed birds of paradise
MEASUREMENTS:
130mm wide x 25mm high
COSMETIC CONDITION:
NO crazing
NO cracks/chips
NO discolouration to the bright White base
NO damage to the artwork
NO wear apparent to the Gold gilded scalloped rim
NOTE however that upon a very close inspection of the dish topside base area I can see a few very light "cut" marks - these are very difficult to see unless viewed with magnification.
