Royal Standard was a trademark not the pottery works, this trademark was used by Chapmans Longton Ltd. This company was among the famous Staffordshire pottery companies, and based at Albert Works, Longton, Stoke-on-Trent.
The tradename Royal Standard was in use from 1949 onwards

To the left are two artist ID marks, these marks were used to identify the workers "pieces" as they were paid "per piece" not by the hour!
At first glance I had the impression these were transferware decorations but no, they have definitely been very skillfully hand painted.
CONDITION:
Very good condition
NO chips
NO cracks
NO crazing
NO damage to the artwork
NO wear to the gold gilding topside but a couple of spots on the edge where the gilding is not present - this could be handling wear or the spots were missed by the artist
