DLAT Rating: 8/10 (Darling, look at this!)
ROYAL STAFFORD - Saucer ONLY
Fine Bone China
Highly translucent chinaware (you can see the shadow of your fingers easily when the saucer is held to a light)
Saucer ONLY
Pattern: Official pattern name is unknown so we have always called it Spring Flowers (Montage)
The design has been applied as transferware but with hand applied gold gilding (based on the backstamp containing no artists markings but there is the gilder mark)
Repeating pattern of various spring flowers around the outer border and in the centre is a different arrangement of similar spring flowers.
Scalloped saucer edge/rim has been finished with Gold gilding
Bright White porcelain base
The backstamp indicates this left the works sometime in the 1990's - this is not a particularly old piece but very pretty!

BONE CHINA (either side of the Crown graphic)
MADE IN ENGLAND
Gilder's mark (X) on the base of saucer
CONDITION:
Clean
NO crazing - even using a "wet test" no crazing shows
NO cracks
NO chips
NO wear to the spring flowers artwork
Underneath is a small fleabite which has a Brown appearance (ingress of dirt or mould has probably caused this colouring) - see the photograph
Gold gilding has LIGHT wear in one section of the rim, a couple of centimetres long and this corresponds with the point where the saucer was repeatedly held when used.
If I was to score the gilding out of ten, this would get an 8
