Backstamp indicates circa 1955 ~ 1962
Cream background
Hand painted design, central pink rose surrounded by other smaller flowers and some foliage
Gold gilding applied to the outer scalloped rim
Measures: 310mm (12 inches) long x 240mm (9.5 inches) wide (Oval shape)
Artist ID marks on the underneath of the dish, off to the side (in the photograph they look like little marks). These were used to identify who contributed to the production of each piece from the factory - the workers were paid on a "per piece completed" basis, not by the hour!
CONDITION:
NO chips
NO cracks
A couple of very light spots/discolouration to the inside accompanied by knife marks from previous useage
Light wear to the "dabbed" gold gilding around the edges
Light wear to 2 of the decorations from previous use
