Paragon China (1919 ~ 1960) was based in Longton, Stoke-On-Kent and produced very high quality fine china with a range of stunning designs, particularly breakfast settings.
Over it's history, the company was awarded a number of Royal warrants and eventually Paragon became part of the Royal Doulton group (1972)
I have other Paragon chinaware HERE
PARAGON - Saucer ONLY
Made in England
Circa period Late 1950's ~ 1960's (based on the backstamp used)
Fine White China
Translucent, meaning if held to the light you can see your fingers through the china
Transferware decorated (assumed) because there are no artists marks underneath and the artwork is too 'consistent' throughout
Hand applied platinum gilding applied to the outer scalloped rim
Graphic design does not depict flowers or such like, just a simple, repeating design in a light grey colouring
Scalloped top rim
Platinum gilding to the rim edging only
141mm diameter
BACKSTAMP DETAILS:
Backstamp design strongly suggests this saucer was produced in the period late 1950's ~ 1960's based on the Crown graphic placed at the top of the backstamp, very clean, simplified backstamp design, only the word ENGLAND (not Made In) and the use of transfers for the decoration.
Grey colouring
(Large graphic of a crown)

Platinum guilding is in very good condition, althoug there is a couple of 'spots' with very light wear. This does NOT mean the platinum is worn away but just has light 'spotting' or "patchiness" in two small/short areas (where the hand held the saucer)
