J H Cope & Co (based in Longton, England) produced an amazing range of high quality, very colourful chinaware's during the period 1887 to 1946, when they ceased operations.
Wellington China was the trade name used by J H Cope & Co and the backstamp featuring the head of the Duke Of Wellington was used from 1924 until they ceased operations.

Like the saucer, a couple of tiny little "dots" topside on one plate (see the right hand plate photograph) and a "slip of the hand" by the work's artist (dash of Brown paint where it should not be) these dots are raised from the glazing and appear to be impurities within the clay used.
NO crazing
NO wear evident to the artwork at all
Gold gilding is in very good condition with no handling wear noticed at all
Another very nice example of a Wellington China piece
