We had/still have a LOT of English china or porcelain wares, these made for years of special occasion enjoyment for us.
Old Foley is the pottery works used by James Kent Ltd for the production of this item.
This backstamp was in use from 1955 onwards, we have always considered this to be from around the 1970's though.

Circa 1970's (although the backstamp began to be used from 1955 and was in use for years, this piece (we are pretty sure) is from the 1970's)
Bright white smooth porcelain with a high lustre
Opaque, meaning that if it is held to the light you cannot see shadows of your hand through the material
Heavy Gold gilding to the scalloped rim of the tray
Transferware application of the decoration - not hand painted
The design name is Regal Roses, a timeless rose garland design that has been extremely popular over the years.
Tray measures 10.5" x 5" x 1" (275mm x 125mm x 25mm) with a slightly increased height at each end (the handles)

COSMETIC CONDITION:
CLEAN
Very Good (but not perfect)
A couple of light knife marks in the glaze from previous use
Decoration shows almost no damage at all, but at one end (near a handle) there does appear to be extremely light wear to the petals of one Yellow rose - barely noticeable unless observed very closely.
NO crazing
Heavily applied Gold gilding around the scalloped rim shows practically NO wear at all
NO chips
NO cracks
NO fleabites
