Royal Sutherland came into existance around 1941 although this demitasse teacup & saucer appears to be from a much later production period.
Sutherland in the tradename refers to the location of their pottery works in Sutherland (Longton, Stoke-On-Trent) and under the Wartime Concentration Scheme the two companies W. Hudson and J.H. Middleton came together, the new company being called Hudson & Middleton and their products had H&M added to the backstamp.
This advertisement is for BOTH the teacup and the matching saucer, the price indicated is for EACH piece although you can select either item separately if you do not need to complete duo
To purchase the duo you MUST select BOTH the teacup and the saucer, otherwise I will only send the piece you are ordered!
