Empire Porcelain Company was producing pottery at Stoke On Kent from 1896 until 1967
EMPIRE - Saucer
Design: Rosalie
Very 'busy' decoration with many different English garden flowers, the works artist has spent a lot of time creating this piece and much of the decoration is very fine work.
Gold gilded on the eges
Hand painted
Circa 1930's period (based on the backstamp design)
Small square shaped saucer
Although this does appear similar to a side or cake plate, it is far smaller and I believe this is a saucer but without the raised centre to hold the teacup
Dimensions: 130mm x 130mm
COSMETIC CONDITION:
NO chips
NO fleabites
NO discolouration
Light crazing is evident when viewed closely underneath.
Gold gilding has been lightly applied and in my opinion rates at 9/10 with only very light wear showing in a couple of spots

Artists markings are present, these were extremely important to the works artist as they were paid "per piece completed" not hourly.
