Colclough China Ltd was formed in 1937 and operated their works at Longton, Stock-On-Trent.
Colclough China ceased operations in 1996 after having first been acquired by the Ridgeway Group and then subsequently, the Royal Doulton group.

Shape: Traditional English one cup with a lightly scalloped top rim
Pattern: 7876
The artwork design centres around Violets, with some foliage. One group of Violets is very large while on the other side of the cup the artwork is much smaller, there is also a small piece of artwork inside the teacup. Gold gilding to the top rim, base foot and both sides plus the back of the handle.
This looks to be transferware but the Gold gilding has been hand applied (Gilder's markings to the underside)

NO wear is apparent to the artwork, outside and within
Gold gilding is in very good condition as it shows barely any handling wear at all, even on the handle (which is the area most often subject to normal wear n tear) of all cups
