Colclough China Ltd was formed in 1937 and operated their works at Longton, Stock-On-Trent called Vale, thus the name Royal Vale. Many potteries used the name or location of their works on their products.

BACKSTAMP DETAILS:
Grey printed backstamp design strongly suggests this saucer was produced in the period 1950's ~ mid 1960's based on the Crown graphic sitting on top of an oval outline, within the oval is the text of the backstamp.

COSMETIC CONDITION:
CLEAN
NO cracks
NO fleabites
NO discolouration
NO crazing
Gilding is in very good condition with no signs of handling or washing wear to the rim or the handle decoration.
