Colclough China Ltd was formed in 1937 and operated their works at Longton, Stock-On-Trent called Vale, thus the name Royal Vale. Many potteries used the name or location of their works on their products.
This ROYAL VALE brilliant White saucer is very similar to the DUCHESS brilliant White saucer, although 20 years older, and either saucer would be a good visual partner for the ROYAL VALE teacup HERE

BACKSTAMP DETAILS:
Grey printed backstamp design strongly suggests this saucer was produced in the period 1950's ~ mid 1960's based on the Crown graphic sitting on top of an oval outline, within the oval is the text of the backstamp.
