*** SPECIAL NOTE*** I have two of these cake/side plates, ONLY ONE has the artist mark (Lime Green) but both have the gilders mark (X)
COSMETIC CONDITION:
I have TWO of these cake - side plates available and the description below pertains to BOTH (they are practically in identical condition)
CLEAN
NO cracks
NO crazing
NO discolouration to the artwork
NO wear is apparent to the artwork
Gold gilding is in very good condition, both on the rim and inner area of the plate(s)
NOTE: At first I thought there was wear to the edge Gold gilding but looked at it closely and it is the gilder who has not used a steady hand! For the most part the gilding flows right on the outer edge of the plate but particularly where the corners are depressed inwards, the Gold gilding is still fine but not quite on the very edge of the plate. This gives the appearance of wear if making a casual glance.
There are a couple of fleabites (small, indistinct)
Plate 1 (without the artist mark) has one fleabite
Plate 2 (WITH the artist mark) has one fleabite
