A.J Wilkinson Ltd operated out of the Royal Staffordshire Pottery, where the well known designer Clarice Cliff had worked some years earlier. Clarice Cliff was the 2nd wife of the manager, Arthur Shorter.

This piece uses the Honeyglaze glazing, instead of clear it was a golden colour

2 handles with perforations at each end

Overall a light yellow with floral sprays

Hand painted

Gold gilding to the rim edge

Circa 1947 - 1950's (based on the backstamp)

Additional backstamp information:

Impressed into the base is 584SB (last two characters are very difficult to read)

Black backstamp but in green is stamped CHRISTINE to the right of the backstamp

Normal artists mark just above this

Measures: 6.75" x 4.5" x 1" depth

NO chips

NO cracks

NO discolouration

Overall light crazing both top and underneath

Very light wear to a small section of the gold gilding - 1/2" long and the wear is light. The remaining gilding is in excellent condition
