This stunning fine green glass decorative "Genie Bottle" dates from the 1950's - we obtained this very nice hand crafted glassware from a deceased estate in the 1980's
It is NOT UV reactive (no Uranium - this definitely NOT Uranium glass)
HOWEVER
A peculiar thing about the green glass though - when in sunlight, the green appears to "light up" and becomes very iridescent, taking on bright lime green/yellow tones. The photographs I have included were taken in partial sunlight, the effect is even more stunning in full sunlight.
Green "Genie Bottle" Ornament
Two pieces - base/body and lid
This is not pressed glass, no joins as with pressed glass and inside the top lid, the "blower" has scalloped the glass
Thin and delicate fine glassware
Even all over colouring but with a couple of very small air bubbles within the glass
Stands 24cm (9.5") high
12cm (4.75") across at the widest point (the middle)
NO chips
NO scratches
NO discolouration - all colouring is even throughout
The maker of this glass art piece is unknown but it has been hand created with great skill
The green colouring goes from the top right to the base, the base is clear
The base is part of the body and NOT GLUED ON!
