Westminster started business in 1954 (Melbourne) and used quality fine china blanks which were then skillfully decorated locally here in Australia.
WESTMINSTER
Fine china saucer ONLY
Fine bright white china base
Translucent (semi-transparent, which means you can see your fingers through the china when held to the light)
White background
The design (586) depicts pale pink rose buds with foliage. I must say the foliage looks a little unrealistic, instead of a nice green it looks an almost green/blue hue
This looks to be transferware, NOT handpainted
Gold gilding around the rim
Dimensions: 140mm diameter
BACKSTAMP INFO:
Gold metallic graphic print
FINE CHINA
WESTMINSTER CHINA (folded around a graphic)
AUSTRALIA

CONDITION:
NO chips
NO cracks
NO discolouration
NO crazing
There is extremely light wear in the centre of the saucer, where the design "drops" down into the teacup base area
Gold gilding is in very good condition with barely any signs of wear.
