Joy Lea is from Melbourne and this watercolour was painted by her while undertaking her Bachelor Of Arts (completed the degree in 1996) so this is very early art from her.
We have kept this for years, intending to get it framed but instead traditional Australian landscapes in oil were our focus so we now need to find a new home for this very nice artwork from Joy.
As much of her art is now using media such as acrylic and oils, to find a water colour from her is becoming very difficult.

Joy moved into a more abstract style since the painting of these tulips as can be seen by her later creations in the gallery.

Always been protected by the original packaging and just sitting in our vault of artworks (a.k.a storage units)
The window you can see measures:
250mm H x 247mm W
However the paintings actual size (hidden behind the white card) is
260mm H x 290mm W
No damage to the artwork at all - as the artwork remains sealed within the plastic outer protection, you can see some "light ripples" these are NOT on the painting but are in fact light reflections when I took the photograph.
