HISTORY:
Another of our Australian oil paintings that has been with us for quite some time, I cannot remember where we bought it but it was in the 1980's.
Joyce appears to be a Sydney based artist and we believe she is a non-professional artist although that didn't matter to much to us, we love the landscape scene depicted, the colouring (uplifting, bright blue/green colours are dominant) - peace and tranquility!
The scene she has painted is a popular picnic spot for tourists and visitors
Ruby Joyce - Murrumbidgee River (Near Cooma)
Oil on canvas
1980's
Joyce has signed the artwork bottom right-hand corner
The rear of this artwork shows the title/subject of the painting, price we paid back in the 80's AND the artist's home address. For privacy I have blurred her street address partially - on the "real life" artwork this is NOT blurred.
The artwork is undamaged and clean
The wooden frame is in very good condition.
I have removed the two eyelets upon which we had the picture wire - very easy to screw a couple of new eyelets or other frame supports and hang on the wall or picture rail.
Since taking this painting down from the wall we have kept it within sealed plastic to prevent it getting dirty, it will be shipped or supplied this way
