ARTWORK HISTORY:
Our family is very much into "the Arts" in all it's forms, from music to creative art to chinaware and even classic old (quality) technology!
Our focus has always been landscapes, both Australian and New Zealand but over the years we have gathered far too many and new homes must be found for our "excess" artworks.
Back in the mid 1980's we purchased this painting as we used to visit friends up in the Macleay river area (Northern NSW) and this painting very much reminded us of the area.
This original oil is one of the artworks which sadly must now find a new home!
LES GRAHAM:
Born 1942, Les hails from the Kempsey area and although very active in the 1970's ~ 1980's, I believe he "retired" in 2011.
Les is an Australian listed artist, his works are in important collections in Australia and throughout the world, for example they can be found in the homes of Royal families, film stars, politicians, foreign embassies, corporate boardrooms and art galleries.
Outstandingly generous, in 1979 Les donated a large collection of his work to the townspeople of Kempsey (NSW), his art hanging in the Civic Centre.
He has won many awards, published two books and written many articles on art and has been made a Fellow of the Australian Institute of History and Arts.
