We believe Ray was a non-professional artist (living in Collaroy Plateau) but his work is very good.
Nice colouring and brush work and he captures the feel of the area very well.
We are country folks at heart and have always had an affinity for this type of Australian landscape

The frame real wood and simple in design - plain cut and with gold gilding paint. No surface preparations such as a sealant or varnish have been applied.
Rear of the painting has the artist name, his location and the title of the painting. The brown paper seal is deteriorating after 45 years but perfectly legible.
Artwork and frame condition is very good, clean.
