Immediately recogniseable as an Australian creation although the potter is not so clear
The maker is unknown, although the design is definitely Australian.
Typically this style of pottery was produced by many potters in the 1950's, notably Diana and Remued but many others as well.

Flower vase
Typical earthy colours
Measures 210mm high and 150mm diameter at the mouth
Base is 110mm diameter
Grazing is evident and moisture has discoloured a small area on the outside and a much more noticeable area inside the vase
Both inside and outside have a high gloss glaze
These are NOT cracks in the ceramic but failure in the glazing which has allowed moisture to "grown" against the clay producing these fine black lines in one are externally and considerable discolouring inside and on the base.
Looking carefully I cannot make out any makers mark at all although it's difficult to tell with the discolouration present
However, having pointed out these flaws in the glazing, as the external issue is only on one side, when displaying flowers and turned to show the "good" side, this vase looks very very nice.
NO leaking of water - this is a glaze issue not a problem with the base clay.
