Sheffield are reknown for the high quality (and at the time low cost Silver plate) but these teaspoons are a bit generic I'm afraid ... Sheffield is the city but within the city were many Silversmiths and each had their own distinguishing mark, these teaspoons do NOT have such a mark so it is impossible to know where they came from within Sheffield.
The photograph shows four teaspoons, these are offered INDIVIDUALLY not as a set of four as this provides the greatest flexibility to those who just want a replacement teaspoon or two.
SHEFFIELD (ENGLAND) - Tea Spoon (1)
Made in Sheffield, England
Specific manufacturer is however unknown
Silver plate (A1)
Standard size bowl with topside scroll decorations
Stamped into the rear of the teaspoon is the text
EPNS A1
SHEFFIELD ENGLAND
Here is a rather indistinct closeup photograph of that stamping .... absolutely no manufacturer marks at all
DIMENSIONS:
Teaspoon bowl: 23.5mm wide x 37.5mm length
Teaspoon length: 125mm
COSMETIC CONDITION:
The condition report below refers to ALL of the available teaspoons (4) any special notes follow this section
USED
CLEAN
ALL teaspoons are physically undamaged (not bent!)
ALL have no signs of oxidisation "pitting" or marks
ALL do have superficial, light useage marks (scratches) which are not significant at all
SPECIAL NOTE:
One teaspoon does have a "nick" which breaks through the plating. This "nick" is on the underside of the bowl on one teaspoon only, it is very short but noticeable when held to the light "a certain way" In the rear photograph of all the teaspoons "having a meeting", this particular teaspoon with the flaw is orientated opposite the other teaspoons - it is the Black Sheep in the family!
Each teaspoon has now been placed into a completely sealed clear plastic packet so that the nice "Oh you shiny thing you" look remains as long as possible before another rubbing session is required.
