HISTORY OF THIS VINYL:

My "home country" is New Zealand but I left for "greener pastures (no sheep)" as a young lad and made Australia my new home. I bought a lot of my music collection with me, added to it from time to time, particularly those sourced from broadcast radio stations as that was an industry I was closely working with in Australia.

Along with my focus on the "Dunedin Sound" and many "obscure" NZ artists such as The Pin Group (remember "Coat"?) or how about one of my favourite local Christchurch bands, Ticket? Much of this music has now already gone back to NZ collectors via Trade me (until they decided I wasn't a Kiwi and shut me out of the site) but I recently found this single release from T-KIWIS in my "archive library", originally a broadcast station copy. I do not know if there ever was a picture cover but since I received this copy it has been in a special "archival" heavy cardboard sleeve which has an integral liner built in. I have also added a further contemporary liner sleeve for added protection.

For those who collect (I am more interested in the music than collecting these things) you most likely visit sites such as discogs - the reference that many use online for their music collecting.

You will notice that although their one and only album is listed on discogs but not a mention of this single, which was lifted from the album. In fact information about T-KIWIS is pretty hard to come by...

If you happen to come across their album, grab it - grouse music!

Some people collect "labels" and Violets Holiday is pretty obscure, geez I noticed that the music television host Donnie Sutherland was even signed up to this label. The label operated between 1970 and 1972 in Australia, with only a handful of releases.

The original label that T.KIWI's were signed to was Interfusion (NZ) and this Australian release was made under licence from Interfusion (NZ)

The music is "very show-band" if you know what I mean, a mix of RnB and Funky Soul ...

Australian release

Generic archival heavy cardboard cover is in very good condition, no tears, no seam splits and no writing. The record label does have "white out" on each side to obscure a previous ID marking from the station.

New inner plastic sleeve

The vinyl is in good condition, visually inspected under a bright white halogen light source and I can see just a couple of very light marks on either side. Just looking at the vinyl is not a really good check of the condition so I then played the ENTIRE release, both sides, and there are NO significant issues with surface noise or click/pops - in fact it was a really nice playback.

New outer protective sleeve

TRACKS: Our World, Give Me A Woman

Although "Our World" is one of the popular tracks from the album, my favourite is the B Side "Give Me A Woman" - very funky

Ok, Youtube "pulled" the original music link so here is the A Side (Our World) from Soundcloud

In consideration of the fact that there is no original picture cover, if there every was one, is NOT supplied and the small area on the record label that has had White Out applied, it has been decided to make the shipping of this vinyl single FREE of shipping costs, both nationally and internationally (subject to countries which I will no longer trade with e.g USA)
