3rd single from Jimmy Little at 22 years of age, also it is worth keeping in mind that this was during the period when Aboriginal Australians were not recognised as Australian citizens and to get "radio play" was tough!
JIMMY LITTLE - Danny Boy
Festival Records
Cat# FK-3094

Australian release
I have two copies of this release from Jimmy Little, I have called them A and B.
When purchasing, please specify which you would prefer ...
COPY A:
Generic Festival records cover (Black mono print) is in fair condition, no dramatic tears, no writing but a bit crumpled looking and there is a neat seam split (almost as though it has been cut) on one side - overall not too bad after over 60+ years. Record label has the remnants of a previous stick on label on each side but it is not too bad.
New inner plastic sleeve
Vinyl is in good (minus) condition, visually inspected under a bright white halogen light source and I can see a number of very light ~ light scratches on either side with Side A having a couple of deeper looking scratches. Just looking at your vinyl is not a good way to judge the condition so I then played this single ENTIRELY, both sides, and there are some low level click events on Side A which are funny enough, in time with the song! Side B plays fine.
New plastic outer protective sleeve
COPY B:
Generic Festival records cover (Red mono print) is in fair condition, no seam splits, no dramatic tears although there are a couple of handling tears to the top opening edge, but a bit crumpled looking and at some stage the print became damp as it has caused the text in FESTIVAL to run! Nice "high quality" (not) Australian printing! I also see a radio station library number on the cover (one side only) 1531 - overall not too bad after over 60+ years. Record label does have a name (DALE) hand printed on each side.
New inner plastic sleeve
Vinyl is in good (minus) condition, visually inspected under a bright white halogen light source and I can see a number of very light ~ light scratches on either side with a couple of medium depth marks or scratches. Just looking at your vinyl is not a good way to judge the condition so I then played this single ENTIRELY, both sides, and there are some low level click events on Side A which are funny enough, in time with the song! Side B plays fine.

Which copy is "better"? In my judgement, Copy B takes the prize mainly due to the absence of those low level clicks on Side A of Copy A
Tracks: Danny Boy, That Lucky Old Sun (Just Rolls Around Heaven All Day)
