Dylan Thomas, one of the great British poets, born in Wales early 20th Century.
On this recording Dylan reads his own poetry in a studio setting, unlike the other recording we have advertised which is Dylan reading on stage.
Dylan Thomas - Reading Dylan Thomas
Caedmon Records
Cat# 4FP9000
This recording released early 1960's
MONO recording but processed to give a pseudo stereo effect
Cover is in good - very good condition, slightly yellowed due to light fading but no bad marks, tears or seam splits. Rear of the cover does have some grubby marks (not laminated) and times of each poem have been hand written on the cover.
New inner rice paper sleeve
Vinyl is in very good condition, inspected under a white halogen light source I can see a few light scratches on each side - I have listened to both sides and it has much less surface noise that the other recording I have on offer (An Evening With) - with just the occasional click or pop - it's a great listen.
New outer protective sleeve
Tracks: Fern Hill, A Child's Christmas In Wales, Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night, In The White Giant's Thigh, Ballad Of The Long-Legged Bait, Ceremony After A Fire Raid
