Jim Haynes is an Australian writer, entertainer, broadcaster, humorist, songwriter and historian.
This type of vinyl recording is known in the industry as an "interview" disc, comprising many short tracks, where the artist/performer answers questions put to them by the radio station presenter, those answers are recorded onto vinyl such as this one.
This promotional interview record is all about Jim Haynes and specifically one of his albums, THAT RUGBY LEAGUE ALBUM released in 1990.
A photograph of the album front cover is included in this advertisement BUT I AM NOT OFFERING THE ALBUM HERE, just the interview disc.
The interview record deals with Rugby League, South Sydney in particular (but not exclusively) Jim's thoughts about life, rugby league, Americanism of sport and a general chit chat about what went on behind the scenes when recording the various tracks on the albums.
It sounds a bit strange to listen to the record because you only hear Jim answering the questions, normally a running sheet would be supplied with the vinyl which gives the track title, duration and what the program presenter should ask and the response on the record - the record is used to provide the answer and is intended to create the atmosphere that Jim is sitting right in the studio with the program presenter.
This interview record was most likely funded by Jim himself, or the record label (Kookaburra/Festival) as a marketing tool for supply within the broadcast industry and it would have cost quite a bit to have these promo's created and released as the minimum vinyl pressing run would have been 500 copies.
These days it is much simplier as CD-R media is used instead and the costs are much lower for artist promotion.
This interview record is a "white label" product, the label (which is plain white) only having printed on it, the artist name and the radio station it was received by.
All other identity information has come from the runout matrix codes.

1990-1993 (ish) not indicated on the record but based on the content of the record (talks about Tina Turner singing at the Grand Final), it looks like this was produced in the early 1990's perhaps just after the 1993 Grand Final.
Australian promotional release
Generic white cover is new.
New inner plastic sleeve
Vinyl is in good - very good condition, inspected under a white halogen light source and I can see a couple of very light/small scratches on Side A and Side B but one heavier scratch on Side B leadin area.
I have played both sides entirely (multiple times to create a rough running sheet) and other than the clicks on Side 2 Track 1 noted below, this vinyl is a very clean playback.
New outer protective sleeve
It is of no use to anyone if I offer an interview record and you don't know what is on it so I have had a session of transcribing each track into a rough running sheet so at least you can get an idea of what Jim is talking about.
