This is one of my prized vinyls from my days growing up in New Zealand
I LOVE music, all music but its now time to find a new home for these records.
I am hoping this vinyl will find it's way to someone who also appreciates historical events in New Zealand music history
This vinyl was last played about 30 years ago (until today) and then put away, bought over to Australia and then put away in safe/dry storage once again (upright)
My background is technical, particularly relating to the professional music/audio industry and because of this I give a LOT of detail about what I am offering.
Prior to advertising this vinyl, it has had a standard wet wash vacuum and dry. Further cleaning may well improve it even further.
The vinyl was first visually inspected and then played ENTIRELY. None of this "played the first 30 seconds" stuff, what good is that!
Visual inspections can be deceptive, the only real way to judge a record is to actually play the whole record entirely
The Fall were one of the pioneering 70's UK post punk movement, the band formed in 1976
So the lads decide to drop into New Zealand way back in 1982, after their Australian Tour and this double record set is a pretty raw (edited) recording by Chris Knox of their concert in Auckland.
Very repetitive rhythms along with Smith's unique style of singing and vocalisation created a sound that is both obscure and has attracted quite a cult following.
Rest In Peace Mark Smith (lead singer) died 2018
It was an eventful NZ tour and a great deal of information about how this double album came to exist can be found here: https://www.stuff.co.nz/the-press/christchurch-life/83057642/when-the-mighty-fall-came-to-new-zealand

Cover is in excellent condition, small gum residue mark to the top left corner (faint). No seam damage, no tears no splits and no writing.
The original A3 media press clippings sheet is NOT included - its gone walk-about (missing)
New plastic inner sleeves
Both vinyls are in very good visual condition, inspected under a white halogen light source and I can see only one very light scratch to Side 1 (but significant it seems - see below) and none of significance on Side 2 HOWEVER, playback reveals a deeper story...
In A Hole
Side 1 has the occasional low level click/pop but of significance are these:
Track 1 @ 3:56 - 4:22 light clicks heard then a couple of medium clicks BETWEEN track 1 & 2
Track 2 is fine with some very light clicks @ 9:02 (total time elapsed)
Track 3 at the very beginning has a couple of medium clicks and a very short mis-track (kick drum misses a beat)
Side 2 has the occasional click/pop but infrequent and these do not detract from the music experience, nothing more than this on Side 2
Encores
Side 1 - all tracks are fine, no issues even with occasional clicks/pops
Side 2 - all tracks are fine, no issues even with occasional clicks/pops
I get the overall impression that after 30 years in storage, another more thorough clean (perhaps even re-virginiser) might be in order - some very low level surface noise between tracks.
New outer protective plastic sleeve
