Oh Dear! This item has been sold but take a look around for other similar items

I have seen this double album described as pop rock - obviously it hadn't been listened to! The genre is definitely country rock with a streak of psychedelica - nothing pop about this double album at all.

American whimsical eccentric singer-songwriter and multi-instrumental psychedelic country rock performer/song writer. Buzzy was a noted for his vibraphone playing but he certainly was not limited to that instrument.

Many achievements in his long career, including being a session musician on Jimi Hendrix's album "Cry Of Love"

Sadly Buzzy passed away early in 2020

This is a double album, actually it is two albums released in the one pack - Music - Music (1970) and Buzz Linhart - Buzzy (1969)

The double album from Buzzy Linhart has a very psychedelic rock flavour - totally 1970's, particulary Sing Joy which runs for 18 minutes! But there are variations, if you listen to Side C, Buzzy departs from the psych rock and goes all bluesy on you for a few songs.

Buzzy is supported by:

John Siomos - drummer, worked with notables such as Todd Rundgren, Mitch Ryder and the Detroit Wheels, Rick Derringer, Carly Simon, Mark "Moogy" Klingman and Frampton's Camel

Douglas H Rauch - Bassist, most well known for his work with Carlos Santana

Doug Rodrigues - Guitar, one of the funkiest guitar players around!

Recorded & Mixed at Electric Lady Studios - Jimi Hendrix's psychedelic studio

1972

USA reissue of two albums released in 1969/1970

Gatefold cover is in good (minus) condition, some obvious wear/ageing - and a couple of seams have been reinforced. Original inner sleeves from Buddah Group included (humorous text printed on them by the record label, Buddha refers to them as "temporary sleeves")

There are two short slots cut through the cover, these a "deletion marks" which means the record label withdrew this album from sale at some point.

New plastic inner sleeves

Both vinyl are in very good condition, inspected under a white halogen light source and I can see some light scratches/marks but nothing significant. I then played both records entirely - surface noise is low and just the occasional click/pop - a very nice interesting playback. If I was going to note anything, side C has some light marks, I think a past liquid spill of some sort. Cleaned this side very thoroughly using both wet wash and VPI vacuum treatment, this seems to have significantly reduced the surface noise which was a little higher on this side.

New outer plastic protective sleeve

Tracks: That's The Bag I'm In, You Got A Reputation, Time To Go, Talk About A Morning, If You Love Me, Everybody's Got, Don't You Know, Mother's Red Light, Kilpatrick's Defeat, Searchin', Yellow Cab, Willie Jean, Step Into My Wildest Dreams, Wish I Could Find, Sing Joy, End Song
