THOMPSON TWINS - Here's To Future Days
Arista Records
Cat# VPL1 7511 (Both records)
1986
Australian reissue of the 1985 original with a bonus 12" vinyl release of remixes
Gatefold cover is in good condition, no writing, no seam splits, no tears with only light edge wear from normal handling BUT the dreaded enemy of record covers has struck! Dampness.
Even though just a couple of spots became damp, when separating from adjacent vinyls the cover artwork lifted away in two spots (ONLY)
Front top right hand corner area and rear top edge centre area - both are obvious in the photographs.
NO other artwork damage has occurred (and the seams are secure) and there is no artwork damage inside the gatefold at all.
SPECIAL NOTE: Notice the funny lightness in the inside front gatecover photograph (along the bottom edge)? That is NOT a fault on the cover but poor photography! The black is so shiny and that is the daylight reflecting off the cover! In reality that area of the cover is all jet black (and shiny)
New inner plastic liner sleeve
Both vinyl records are in very good condition, visually inspected under a white halogen light source and I can see NO marks or scratches at all, on any of the four sides. Just looking at the vinyl often doesn't 'cut it' so I then played this release ENTIRELY, both records and all tracks completely, and there are no issues with surface noise or click/pops.
New outer protective sleeve
